Let’s explore two reasons for regaining a good night sleep

Remember how well you slept as a child?

First is the prayer we prayed when we were young. The second will amaze you on what God does for us as we sleep.

I’ll unpack these two to put a stop to sleepless nights.

Sleeping well through the night has more to do with your thoughts than your pillow

In peace, I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord will keep me safe. (Psalms 4:8, NLT).

The above verse prompted Joseph Addison to pen these words in 1711, over three hundred years ago. We still say this night-time prayer.

In a nutshell, my purpose is to encourage you as a writer to keep writing the gospel of our Lord. In writing, the immediate outcome does not dictate a person’s long game when we teach, preach or write. When we write, we hear crickets; when we preach, people keep walking. But we do it anyway. It is not our fight anyway, only God can fight the battle to win the souls of men and women.

Barbara, You are correct, the audience is God Himself. I, the preacher, often remind myself before I speak, I am speakong to an audience of ONE. Those in the congragation are priviled to listen in. This helps me keep my attention on our Lord, not those in the crowd. thank you for this great reminder.
